A pleasant little walk!

If you would like to undertake a little walk which is not at all taxing, then here is a suggestion for you.

1. Catch the bus and get off at SuperSol (remember to press the bell in plenty of time so you can be let off the bus)

2. Cross over the road from SuperSol so you are on the same side as the Clinic+ Farmacia (useful to know)

3. You will see a road curving up on the right which is Calle San Miguel. You will know if it is the right one because if you look up you will see a sign for Hostal La Ermita - at the start of the road on the right hand side, there are two sets of direction indicators ( one set in purple! another in yellow) This is a really delightful Spanish street with lots of different kinds of activities - it will curve up a little like the letter 'j'and after about 600 metres you will come to a small square. If you carry onto the end and bear left, you will see the Bus Station (actually just a series of stands with an ALSA kiosk where they will print off an up-to-date list of the buses for Malaga which are frequent and cheap!)

4. Other things to note are an ATM machine in the bank CajaMar near to your starting point on the right hand side. You will also see some Chinese-y type shops, a fruit and veg market on the left, a bakery and several coffee shops and a complete representation of Spanish life.

5. Once you retrace your steps, you have two options for a coffee. One is to descend the hill on the South side of SuperSol where you will see a little municipal park, with a little hexagonal kiosk and pétanque courts. Here you can have a coffee or a beer very cheaply. Or if you carry on walking down the road on the same side as the Farmacia, you will will find a delightful and very clean little cafe 'La Rambla' where you can also visit a very clean loo.

6. The bus stop back is just outside the clinic/chemists 'Farmacia' where the bus runs at 15 minutes to every hour.

7. I may have got one or more details slightly wrong - sorry but one's memory starts to go at a certain age! If you find these notes useful, drop me an email to: mike.hart@fastmail.co.uk
